Maybe I'm Not a Late Bloomer

Maybe I'm Not a Late Bloomer

What if you’re not late at all, but finally ready to be fully seen?

The other day I jokingly said to my husband,
“I’m such a late bloomer.”

His response?

“Now THAT'S an understatement.”

And honestly… he’s so right.

It's Been a Journey

After nearly 20 years in my current business, I feel like I’m only now fully stepping out from behind the scenes to publicly share:

  • Who I am
  • What I believe
  • What I've learned and
  • The deeper work I feel called to do

But I’ve realized something important:

I don’t think this is actually “blooming”. I think it’s unveiling.

  • The insight was already there.
  • The experience was already there.
  • The wisdom was already there.
  • The voice was already there.

What changed was my willingness to fully express it… and take the public response to it. (Good or bad.)

And maybe part of why this season feels so meaningful is because I’m not trying to become impressive anymore.

I’m simply becoming more fully myself and showing up for the people who need me.

At 64, I feel more energized, purposeful, and creatively alive than I have in years.

I’m not interested in fading quietly into “retirement mode.” No, no, no. I have important work to do!

  • I want to maximize the years I have left.
  • I want to fully use what I've been given.
  • I want to help people in a meaningful way.
  • I want to build something impactful.
  • And yes... I'd love for this next season to create the kind of financial freedom that allows my husband and me to breathe a little easier too.

But more than anything…

I’m finally realizing that visibility is not about ego... it’s about stewardship.

And maybe the most powerful work of your life doesn’t always happen in your 20s or 30s.

Maybe sometimes it emerges after decades of learning, living, refining, observing, struggling, serving, and becoming.

Maybe some of us aren’t late bloomers at all.

Maybe we’re just finally ready to be fully seen.
